  2. I need to know what I can buy as far as a inexpensive laptop to us my Premier elements and photoshop The last one I used 10 years ago was windows 7 and 8 and I can't find either working now. Please help me get back to making movies and videos. Thanks Stacy Goodson
  3. It has been sometime since I did a mini build of any kind. Go big with lights or go home. haha
  4. One of the best accessories for a smartphone of any brand is a charging case. They're great because you get the protection of a case plus the added ability to charge your phone when you need to without having to find a power source to charge it up. It does make the phone very chunky but the benefits outweigh the size it makes the device.
  5. I'm currently using a base iPhone 13 at the moment and am liking it a lot. I was thinking about what Apple could bring out this year and I'm hoping to stick with this model for at least another two years to finally have something worth moving onto. I think the biggest seller is the different range of colours they do now.
  6. I will try to replace my phone perhaps once every two years because I like to have the newest tech on offer but I also don't want to spend lots and lots of money on a phone every year. Besides, leaving it at least two years allows for actual progress with upgrades and gives you more for your money by waiting.
  7. I don't have a flip phone anymore and I don't really like the look of the new 'fold' style of phones, particularly the Galaxy Folds. I did used to have a Samsung brand flip phone though many years ago and was tiny but was really cool and functional. They should totally bring them back!
  8. It's a tough question. I think they are starting to come down in price finally but they're still very expensive. I think they are probably worth the price now but we'll have to see what new cards come out and how they compare. What we have on the market now are great so if anything better comes out, try and snag an older model.
  9. You shouldn't use your GPU to mine anything unless you've created a rig (or multiple) purposefully to mine because it's so resource intensive you wouldn't want to try and run even a top spec gaming PC mining crypto as it won't yield any results that are meaningful. You'd probably need a farm to be able to mine successfully.
  10. The graphics card that I have at the moment in my computer is a Nvidia 3060 Ti which set me back a fair amount of money but it's great and I think I'll be using it for a while before I think about ever upgrading. I'll be waiting until maybe the 40 series (if that becomes a thing!).
  11. I will always chose to use a DisplayPort connection if I have the option and will only use HDMI for things when I have to. For example if it's the only option to use it on a device. DisplayPort is just much better for the connection but is just sadly not as common I don't think compared to HDMI.
  12. The displays that I have are all 27 inches as well because it was the better value for money when I was buying them. I think screen sizes are starting to creep up in value as well which doesn't seem surprising considering how all computers components are rising in price. Similar monitors to what I have now are like a quarter more expensive.
  13. Making sure that your website has a working SSL certificate is an absolute must these days because it's very easy to perform a man in the middle attack if you don't have one installed. Encrypting the data, especially if you're handling payment details is crucial and also a legal requirement. I also don't use websites that don't have a working SSL.
  14. The classic iPhone was an absolute game changer in the mobile industry. I remember when it was first announced and I was shocked to see that Apple could get all of that tech into one small phone. I think the thing that impressed me the most was the touch screen and seeing a phone without a number pad.
  15. Yeah I have some cloud storage and it differs depending on the device I'm using. I have iCloud storage for my iPhone and then I use Google Drive for storage on my computer so things are kind of split at the moment. I keep wanting to unify it all into one service but it's more trouble than it's worth.
  16. Nope, I've never attempted to do a mini build before but it's something that I've had an interest in. I just don't have the time or the money to get another rig made up and to be honest, I don't even know what I'd use it for as it probably wouldn't be as powerful as my current rig.
  17. My displays are currently 27 inches which is quite large but it suits me nicely as it's quite a lot of space for looking at screens. I think any bigger and I'd probably need a much bigger desk and I don't fancy getting a new desk and monitors at the same time. They're both high res as well.
  18. I have a set of external speakers setup on my desk but I also have a pair of headphones that I use when I want to be a bit quieter in my office space. I find external speakers are nice for quiet general noises and pings, but watching a movie or playing a game then the headphones come on.
  19. Oh wow I don't really even know as it's not something I really think about. I probably clean my keyboard by tipping it upside down and maybe giving it a quick wipe like once every few months or probably more. As it's just me using it, I'm not as worried about dirt build up on it.
  20. Wireless mouse for me because like the others, I don't like running wires all over my desk because they get tangled and messy. I make sure that my mouse always has charge though as there's nothing worse than using it and then all of sudden it runs out of battery and it's out of use for like an hour.
  21. Unfortunately my motherboard doesn't use WiFi which is annoying. I'd like to get a new board that does have WiFi because even though it's not as good as being wired in, it saves having to run a cable from my computer because cable management is not an easy task.
  22. It will be interesting to see what the reviews say when it is released. I just want to know what they're changed and how much it differs from the M1 chip which when that came out people went crazy for (and actually liked a lot as well). I'm not sure when the first M2 Mac even releases though.
